Beach Trip 2007

We just returned on Sunday from our 2nd Annual Family Beach Trip! It was fun, but we were missing a few people this time. So, it wasn't really the same. The first day we were there, it rained! Sometimes...poured. So we found some other things to do. Adam took the boys to play miniature golf at an indoor course while I got to go shopping, wait for it....ALONE! What a treat! I don't think I bought anything, but I went somewhere by myself and those trips are few and far between my friends. It began to clear up the next day and we spent the day between the beach and the cottage we stayed in. We did some shopping and some beach going on the Saturday, but it was SO hot and humid out that most things outdoors just weren't very pleasant. We got home in the late afternoon on Sunday and I am still trying to dig my way out of the laundry my sweet family hath blessed me with. I'm sure I'll find the bottom of the basket...one day :) We had a great time and are really looking forward to next year when everyone is there! Jackson really enjoyed the beach this year...wasn't a fan of sand before! Cade loves the water sooooo much and has no fear of the water. Oh, and this was Sam's first beach trip. He seemed to like it indoors better where it wasn't so hot! But I bet next year he will really enjoy it! Enjoy the pictures!

Cade's First Day of School

Well, we are all finishing up with the first week of school...Cade seems to really be enjoying the 2nd grade. His teacher is Miss Kirschner. She's super nice! This is her first year teaching, so I hope she's enjoying it. We've had a couple of problems with the bus in the morning...not showing up. So, hopefully that will be fixed in the next few days. But otherwise, things seem to be pretty great. Here is a picture of Cade on his very first day of 2nd grade!

Oh yeah, I need to correct something from my last post. I said we had a party for 2 out of three of my nieces, we actually have four nieces. Duh. I seem to have gotten in a frenzy of typing and made an error. Oh well! Happy day everyone!

The Days of Our Lives...no, not the soap opera

Well, it's that time again! School time! Today (Friday) we met Cade's new teacher at school! He will be in Ms. Kirschner's class in the 2nd grade. And I have even bigger news! In the spirit of staying involved with my children, I have joined the PTA! Yes that's right. I have three kids, a mortgage, a minivan, and am now an official PTA member! What better way to stay involved with your children and let them know you care? I'm very excited! It's another thing to do, but it's worth it!

We also had a birthday party for two out of three of my nieces! Emma and Bella (my sister's baby girls) are 2 and 3. Their birthdays are so close, she decided to have them together...great idea! We went to Anderson, SC and had fun at a place called Kangaroo Kids. It's a place that has these huge blow up slides and bouncy fun things to climb on. And I know because I had a blast! I love playing just like the kids! Then we had pizza and took part in some amazing cake! Emma and Bella really enjoyed their ballerina party and looked stunning in their tutu's! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

My Very First 5K Run!!

Okay, so I really can't help but be proud of running my very first 5K! I have never been much of a runner except in high school when I ran track. However, after Sam was born, I decided to start running to lose weight. Then, I realized, I really enjoy running! So, I decided to run my first 5K to see if I could actually do it. And I did! Along with one of my dearest friends, Beth, we finished! It was at the National Whitewater Center on the outskirts of Charlotte. It was a trail run. So, we ran through the woods and dirt and rocks and gravel and hills! It was flippin' awesome! We both did the 3.1 mile run in about 47 minutes. We are so proud and I can't wait to find my next adventure, this time for a cause. Here's the only picture we got. Enjoy!

Mom's Birthday at the Melting Pot

Yes! We did our annual trip to the Melting Pot for my mom's birthday! It was lovely as usual! What a time! Mom looked as beautiful as ever and not a day over 30! We did the fondue thing and the yummy dessert thing and the gift thing! It was so great! Here are some photos. Enjoy!

Daddy's Birthday

Well, as usual, the Jordan Family has been a busy little family! We've been having baby showers, our friends have been having babies like crazy, anniversary parties and birthday parties. It's been fun! So, we celebrated my dad's birthday on Monday. It was VERY fun! Jackson and Sam and I took my dad out to breakfast that morning. Then, we went shopping a little later with my mom and dad. Later, Adam, I, Sam, and Jackson met my mom and dad at a Japanese restaurant for dinner. It was so good! Everything was delicious. Then we headed over to my mom and dad's for cake and gifts. We had a fabulous time and daddy enjoyed it all so much!

20th Anniversary SURPRISE Party For My Mom and Dad

Well, we did it! And we did it very VERY well! My brother and sister and I threw my mom and dad a 20th anniversary party. We actually pulled it off. We planned a BBQ, complete with a cake shaped like a pig (to got with the BBQ theme!). It was great. We had a terrific turnout and our parents were so shocked! Here are a few pictures! Enjoy.
